Exercise 4. Usage 4 of the perfect progressive -- indicating that something is not completed.

1. He has been preparing for the exam.

2. They have been praying for a miracle.

3. I have been considering retirement.

4. She has been collecting evidence.

5. They have been expecting rain.

6.  We have been repainting the house.
